About Me:
Larry began his career as a mortgage originator in May of 1987 where he remained for the initial 21 years of his career and joined 1st Security Bank in spring of 2020. Larry chose 1st Security Bank because of the ability to assist a broader range of clients- from first-time homebuyers and seasoned jumbo investors, to clients that have unique situations that are best suited for our Portfolio Products. Throughout the years he has learned the value of remaining calm under pressure. He is a firm believer in remaining focused on problem solving under distress and has learned from his experiences in a retrospective manner once a solution is found. This approach has served his clients and business partners well throughout his career and he continues to learn and improve every day.
With a specialty in new construction “take out” lending, Larry has been a proud and trusted business partner for many prolific builders in the Puget Sound Region. After tens of thousands of transactions, and countless customer interactions, he has discovered that there is an art to vicarious learning and has become a very humbled student. It is a privilege to be considered an expert in multi-family and condominium lending in one of the most dynamic real estate markets in the country.
Larry grew up in Seattle and attended Bishop Blanchet High School. As a scholarship athlete under Coach Don James from 1980 to 1984, he graduated with a degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics from the University of Washington.
He has been married for 27 years to the finest human being he’s ever met. They share their lives with three thriving young adult children and their faithful best friend, Captain Steele, a Golden Retriever. They are proud members of the Holy Family Catholic Church and Larry enjoys playing golf (poorly) in his spare time.
